Rep. Ted Budd Secures $543,000 Federal Grant for Salisbury

Salisbury, N.C. -- Today, Rep. Ted Budd announced that the City of Salisbury received $543,185 in funds from the National Park Service’s (NPS) Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grants Program. 

Rep. Budd sent a letter of support to the NPS to secure the funds. 


The funds will be used to rehabilitate up to ten projects in the City’s Historic District. The city estimates that this grant funding would leverage approximately $5 million in private investment. 

The NPS program aims to, “enable the rehabilitation of historic properties and rehabilitate, protect, and foster economic development of rural communities.” 

The Salisbury site is also located in a qualified Opportunity Zone.

Rep. Budd said: “I was proud to secure these funds for Salisbury and to see the city’s historic district be revitalized through private and public investment dollars.”
