Local High Point Chaplain John Vernon Opens House Legislative Session in Prayer

Washington D.C. – U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement regarding local High Point Chaplain, John Vernon opening the House legislative day in prayer:

“I was honored to have local High Point Chaplain John Vernon open the House legislative session is prayer on Wednesday. John is an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wesleyan Christian Academy. John also serves locally as Lead Chaplain for both the High Point Police Department and High Point Fire Department.

“John and his wife, Kim, will celebrate 37 years of marriage together this year. They have two sons, Travis and Kyle, and  two wonderful daughters-in-law, Stephanie and Hillary. Among the greatest joys in their lives are spending time with their three granddaughters, Sadie, Millie, and Nora. Thank you for your service Chaplain Vernon, we are honored that you call High Point home.”
