Washington D.C. – U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after voting in support of H. Res. 990 supporting the officers and personnel who carry out the important mission of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement:

“Today, I voted in favor of a resolution to show support for our officers and personnel who carry out the important mission of enforcing our federal laws governing border control, customs, trade, and immigration.

“Recent political attacks on this vital government agency have prompted the Republican led House to double down on our unwavering support for the work that ICE does each and every day to keep our country safe.

“They deserve praise, not attacks for political purposes, and I hope they see the passage of this resolution as sign that their important and difficult work does not go unnoticed.”
