Washington D.C. – U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement regarding the passage of The JOBS and Investor Confidence Act of 2018:
“Today, the House of Representatives passed the ‘JOBS and Investor Confidence Act of 2018’ in strong, bipartisan fashion. This package of bills applies 21st Century capital formation rules to our 21st Century economy and builds on the bipartisan ‘JOBS Act’ legacy.
“My bill, H.R. 3903- the Encouraging Public Offerings Act, was included in the final package. This bipartisan legislation reduces the process risk to companies that are contemplating going public, in order to make listing on exchanges more attractive. Which in the end, will only strengthen our financial markets. I am proud that it was included in the final package of bill, and I applaud the hard work from my colleagues on the Financial Services Committee to get this done.”
