Washington D.C. -- U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement announcing Ledford High School senior, Jacob Hayes as the 2018 Congressional Art Competition first place winner for North Carolina’s thirteenth district. Mr. Hayes’ “Bike with Tree” will hang in the Cannon Tunnel in the U.S. Capitol.
“It is my honor to announce Jacob Hayes as the 2018 Congressional Art Competition winner from North Carolina’s thirteenth district. We are thankful to all those who submitted artwork entries and appreciate their creativity. Jacob’s piece, 'Bike with Tree' will hang in the U.S. Capitol along with hundreds of other submissions from across the country.”
2018 Congressional Art Competition winners will also be invited to attend a reception in Washington D.C. with Rep. Ted Budd.
