I voted against this kind of reckless spending, because it is not the kind of thing people sent me to Washington to support.
WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after the House voted to pass the Bipartisan Budget Act.
“This morning’s vote was a grim reminder that Washington’s addiction to spending money is as strong as ever. This bill included an increase in our country’s debt limit that will amount to more than a trillion dollars. That’s more than $3,000 in additional debt for every man, woman and child in our country. I voted against this kind of reckless spending, because it is not the kind of thing people sent me to Washington to support. We can and must do better if we are serious about providing a better future for the next generation.”
