Today, Representative Ted Budd (NC-13) voted to support legislation that will prohibit the use of federal funds going toward abortions or to purchase insurance plans covering abortions with specific expectations.

“Putting taxpayers across the nation on the hook for abortion funding is immoral and irresponsible,” said Rep. Budd. “This legislation takes the common-sense steps of ensuring no federal funds can be used to pay for abortions.”

The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion And Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act 2017 will bar abortion services from being provided by federally employed doctors and health-care professionals or within federally owned or operated health-care facilities.
