Budd Applauds House Repeal Of Independent Payment Advisory Board

WASHINGTON, DC -- US Representative Ted Budd released the following statement after the passage of the Protecting Seniors’ Access to Medicare Act of 2017: “I am pleased to have voted in favor of repealing the Independent Payment Advisory Board. If someone thought bipartisanship in regards to health care was impossible, they were wrong. Today we saw both Republicans and Democrats come to together in support of the Constitution by restoring the power of policy-making back to Congress. Obamacare created this board, which is supposed to consist of fifteen unelected bureaucrats with the responsibility of recommending ways to cut Medicare - the program that provides healthcare to millions of seniors around the country. My view on this is pretty simple. Any changes in Medicare policy should be left to Congress, not fifteen unelected bureaucrats. |
