Timberlake, N.C. -- Today, Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) toured the new hangar at Raleigh Regional Airport at Person County. Photos of the tour are below: Rep. Budd said in a statement: Background (from the airport’s website): The airport serves corporate aircraft, as well as air cargo jet operations, and provides convenient access to US Highway 501 and the Research Triangle Region. Expansion plans are underway, including construction of a new 130' x 120', fully-equipped, Gulfstream-Class corporate hangar with 2,000 square feet of office space, scheduled for completion in January 2022. The hangar will have a 28’-high hangar door and provide state of the art features, such as the safety of a foam fire suppression system, a pneumatic compressed air system, infrared heaters, LED lighting, multiple electrical systems, generator backup power, water, upfitted and fully-conditioned office space and workshop, aircraft parking apron and private, paved auto parking with EV charging. |
